Rockhounding in the Owyhee mountains

It's getting close to making a few rockhound trips to the owyhee's. We got out a few times already to graveyard point for some plume agate, but the good weather has ended and the rain and snowed started again this month. Maybe march will dry a little so we can go out. So for now were waiting out the snow and rain. Talk to you soon.

Rockhounding in the Owyhee mountains in Oregon

Well summer is almost over and we have made about half a dozen trips to the desert to rockhound. Found some beautiful agate and jasper so far. We will be making 2 or 3 more trips this fall to dig jasper. It's ever ending on what you will find to cut out there. It was a hot summer most of the time in the 100's when we were out digging. Madras Rock Show

Made a trip over the 4th of July weekend to the Madras, Oregon Rock show. There were alot of slabs and rough rock for sale. Picked up some nice slabs and whole rock. It was a hot weekend, thunder storms. While we were there Sister's Oregon had a rock show going to, so we made a run over there to see more rocks. The Madras rock show was bigger. Rock Hounding Trip

Well we made another trip out to Graveyard point for some Plume agate last week. Found some more of the nice red plume agate. Have the rock saws running today with the new material. Hope to have some top quality designer cabs listed on our website www.crdesignsidaho.com next week from this trip. The silver price is climbing $15.00 an once, what will it be by Dec?

Boise Market !!

The Boise market has opened for the year and it is off to a good start.Had a little rain the first weekend but last weekend the weather was fine. You can fine us, CR designs there selling our Designer jewelry and designer cabochons. Market hours are 9:30 am. to 1:30 pm. We have listed some more cabochons on our website www.crdesignsidaho.com . Cabs of the Month

We have created a new web page for our website www.crdesignsidaho.com it is cabs of the month. Every month it will feature a hand full of high grade or unusal cabochons. This months feature is Carrasite jasper, Rocky butte jasper and Hidden Valley jasper. We took a recent trip to the mine owner of these material's.
